ArbCEE officially launched on 7 June 2023 in Bratislava, marking a significant milestone in the development of arbitration and strengthening of the arbitration community in Central and Eastern Europe.
The launch event brought together over 120 practitioners, scholars, and arbitration enthusiasts from the CEE to share insights and discuss how to shape the future of dispute resolution in the region together.
The event featured keynote speeches by Martina Polasek (Deputy Secretary-General, ICSID) and Marcin Czepelak (Secretary-General, PCA), as well as thought-provoking panel discussions, including in particular concerning the current state of the arbitration market in the CEE and ways of ensuring that the global arbitration community can benefit from all the talent that the CEE has to offer.
The contributions also focused on ArbCEE’s primary mission – to provide a knowledge-sharing and networking platform that unites, promotes, and serves the arbitration and ADR community in the CEE. In the words of the Chairperson of ArbCEE Rostislav Pekař: “Our vision is to establish a robust network that encourages collaboration, learning, and growth within the field of arbitration and ADR in the CEE.
